This privacy policy explains how A Short Journey handles visitor data. The short version: it does not collect any.

No tracking

This site does not use analytics software, tracking pixels, session recording tools, or any other mechanism that monitors individual visitor behaviour. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Matomo, and no custom tracking script.

No cookies

This site does not set cookies. There is no cookie banner because there are no cookies to consent to. If your browser shows a cookie from this domain, it was not set by this site and may have been set by your browser, an extension, or a network intermediary.

No personal data collection

The site does not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, device identifiers, or any other personal information. There are no forms that submit data to a server. There is no login system. There is no newsletter subscription. There is no comment system.

No third-party scripts

No scripts from external services are loaded on any page. There are no social media widgets, no advertising networks, no embedded content from third-party platforms, and no external font services that track loading behaviour.

The fonts used on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests as described in their own privacy documentation.

Static hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a static hosting platform. Cloudflare may process server logs that include IP addresses as part of its normal infrastructure operations. This processing is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy and is outside the control of A Short Journey.

Search

The search function on this site uses Pagefind, a static search library that runs entirely in the browser. Search queries are not transmitted to any server. The search index is downloaded as a static file and queried locally. No search data is collected, stored, or shared.

External links

A small number of pages on this site contain links to external websites. When you follow an external link, the destination site may collect data about your visit according to its own privacy policy. A Short Journey has no control over the data practices of external sites.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. There is no notification mechanism because there is no contact data to notify.
